Here's a question for you all. And please, bear in mind that this in no way pertains to myself, but is simply an interesting thought that passed through my mind as I was out with friends tonight and we were sitting around talking while I waited for my turn to get my ass kicked in pool (and believe me when I say it got kicked) But if you're in a strictly no strings attached, casual sex relationship with somebody, would you continue sleeping with them if they were bad? Because it's not like you're in a proper relationship and there's more founding it other than just sex, right? In a normal relationship you go through the process of getting to know the other person -- which includes the whole acceptance of whether their sexual prowess is up to your standards or not. It's about reaching that peak together, right? Learning the ins and outs. What they think. How they think. What makes them tick. What pushes their buttons the wrong way. What makes them *cough* wet .. can't believe I just typed that, but anyway .. But yeah, if you have both entered into something with the complete knowledge that it is nothing - and possibly won't ever be anything - then would you bother sleeping with them anymore if they were bad in the sack? I pose this question because I've kind of grown up with this romanticised notion that you shouldn't bother dating somebody if you can't somehow imagine yourself with them for the long haul. 'til death do us part and all that "junk". I mean, sure, most people are bound to go through many different partners before they finally find The Right One .. but isn't that part of the grading process? Isn't that just our way of sifting out the chaff? Our way of alighting on the one that we love so dearly it would hurt to breathe should they ever leave us behind for whatever reason? And I mean, if casual sex is your bag, then I won't knock it. I'm just curious about whether those of you that do do it, care about whether it's good or bad sex. Or is sex just sex? Like I said - just curious :)
